We produced a quick fire “News Break” video with Jonathan Brown to launch an on-pack promotion for Carlton Draught.

The campaign appeared across point-of-sale media channels from 8x key retail partners for the brand, spanning Thirsty Camel, Bottlemart, Celebrations and more.

We also developed a cheeky below-the-line, social media first, video lead campaign for Carlton Draught known as ‘Virtual Pub Test’.

The campaign appeared across the Brand’s paid and organic social media, digital advertising and trade media channels in early 23’.

Somehow, we managed to find willing (and fitting) talent… that were prepared to bear the brunt of pouring beer all over themselves for the good of Carlton Draught’s Virtual Pub Test….

… and make a mess of a microwaved chicken parma and take a sip of spicy mustard… over and over again. All while blindfolded by virtual reality goggles, specially customised with Carlton Draught branding…

… and to celebrate the chaos with a rather cringeworthy cheers to say the least. But when it was all said and done… something just didn’t feel quite right. It just didn’t compare to having a real beer with friends down at the real-life pub…

apology.

… so we issued an official apology for trying to make Virtual Beers a thing and to encourage thirsty viewers to head down to the pub for a real chicken parma (not parmi) and a jug pot (responsibly ov course) of fresh, tap-poured Carlton Draught!
